Robert Perreault
Mr. Perreault is a Managing Director of The Perreault Birmingham Group LLC, where he specializes
in providing operational and strategic advice to software businesses and other
technology-related companies. Most recently, Bob was Executive Vice President
of Blue Pumpkin Software and was instrumental in improving the company’s
performance and then selling the company to Witness Systems. Bob has also
spent ten years in senior executive positions at Chemdex (Ventro), Borland
Software, Visigenic Software, Compuware, and Arsin Corporation, and founded
two consulting start-ups that were later acquired. Bob also served as Senior
R&D Section Manager for database products at Hewlett-Packard, where he worked
for over ten years.
Mr. Perreault holds a B.A. in Economics/Math Sciences with Distinction from Stanford University, an M.B.A. with Distinction from the University of Michigan, and was an HP sponsored participant in the Honors Cooperative Masters program in Computer Science at Stanford University.
Hobart McK. Birmingham
Mr. Birmingham is a Managing Director of The Perreault Birmingham Group LLC,
where he provides investment banking and advisory services to clients,
principally in the high technology industry. Hobey started his career as a
transaction lawyer, working over twenty years with major law firms in San
Francisco and Tokyo, specializing in domestic and international business and
M&A. He then spent several years in legal and executive positions at Apple
Computer and Borland Software. He has served on the boards of directors of
early-stage companies as well as non-profit organizations. He has also taught
international and Japanese law at the University of Michigan, Loyola
University (LA) and University of San Francisco law schools. From 2002 to
2008, he was a member of the board of directors of Optical Communications,
Inc., (Nasdaq: OCPI) and currently serves on the board of directors of
Schilling Robotics, a privately held company headquartered in Davis, CA.
Mr. Birmingham received a J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan Law
School and an A.B. cum laude from Princeton University, and he is proficient
in Japanese. He holds a Series 7 and Series 63 securities registrations (CA)
and offers investment banking services as a registered representative of GBS
Financial Securities Inc. FINRA, SIPC.
Bruce Stouffer
Mr. Stouffer is Vice-President of the Perreault Birmingham Group LLC, where he
focuses on sales, marketing and other revenue generation activities for
clients in technology-driven businesses. Bruce was previously Vice President
& General Manager of the ePortfolio Software Division of the Arsin Corporation
in Santa Clara, California where he was responsible for sales, marketing and
product development for Investment Banking software. Before joining the Arsin
Corporation, Bruce was a Vice President with the RONIN Corporation in
Princeton, New Jersey, an international marketing strategy consultancy
specializing in the computer and telecommunications industries, and before
that he was Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Systech International. He was
also a Business Director for the manufacturing automation division of FMC
Corporation and traveling extensively overseas as he was responsible for
international sales and marketing.
Mr. Stouffer has a BS in Economics from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Michigan. Bruce also teaches Marketing & Sales Management courses at the university level.
Frank Atkinson
Mr.
Atkinson is a Senior Advisor at the Perreault Birmingham Group LLC, where he
manages the firm's relationships with institutional investors in the Bay
Area and Europe. Frank has had a successful career in international Private Equity and hi
tech Venture Capital spanning four decades.
Frank started his career with Continental Capital Corporation in San Francisco before pursuing international project opportunities as a Vice President with Triad Holding Corporation, which moved him to Beirut, Düsseldorf and London. While at Triad Frank's business activities focused on Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Sudan and Tunisia. Following Triad Frank formed the Investment Management Group for the Imperial Bank, in Los Angeles, where his Private Equity activities took him to Latin America and Hong Kong. Frank's most recent forays into Venture Capital were co-founding the HMS Group in Menlo Park, California and the InterArab Investment Fund in Amman, Jordan and Muscat, Oman.
Frank was the Founder and first President of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists, the industry's first professional trade organization. This organization, with 130 Silicon Valley venture firms and 800 venture capitalists as members, is based in Menlo Park.
Frank holds a BA degree from Stanford University and an MBA from U.C.L.A. Frank put himself through graduate school by playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos of the National Football League. Frank is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
